About Me

Hi, I'm Michael. I'm a software engineer in South Philadelphia, born and raised in the Greater Philly area. I quit my job in the credit card industry last year to build things I actually want to exist on the internet.

I run Agora Pluribus Technologies, which is a fancy way of saying I'm one person who writes software. The current project is AgoraPages, a free tool for publishing your Markdown notes, vaults, and digital gardens to the web. Drag a folder, get a website. Your site exports as a zip whenever you want, deployable anywhere static files run.

I'm building it because I think the web should have more places where people can write durable, interconnected things, like the early personal websites, and like the digital garden tradition before it got squeezed out by feeds and algorithms.

Software and Technology

My current priority is creating a free and open source digital garden hosting tool to allow for a collection of organic, vibrant, diverse digital spaces to grow freely.

A digital garden, if the term is new to you, is a living website of interconnected notes. A garden grows over time. Ideas link to other ideas. Notes evolve. Readers wander rather than scroll.

The idea is simple: Anyone should easily be able to publish their Markdown notes for free without being forced to use proprietary platforms who farm user data and content and use divisive algorithms.

In addition to software development, I am also a self-taught music producer. I compose, arrange, mix, and master music in a variety of styles, including electronic and orchestral.
